ET enjoys record orders despite pandemic.
Enviro Technology (ET) has recorded its strongest Q1 orders performance in the Company’s 37-year history. This might sound a bit strange as we are only in February, but ET’s financial year actually runs from 1st November to 31st October.
And this comes on the back of 2020, which was one of the best years for ET in the last 5-years despite Brexit and being in the teeth of the Covid-19 pandemic.
Orders have been strong for all of ET’s main sectors including; UK air quality, export air quality, scientific and research and service contracts.
ET’s Duncan Mounsor explains further: “poor air-quality leads to over 40,000 deaths in the UK alone each year, and this staggeringly high number was being exceeded well before 2020 and the outbreak of Covid-19. Whilst air pollution levels may have initially fallen somewhat due to the pandemic, especially during the first period of lockdown, levels have risen again, and the problem of poor air quality is not going away anytime soon. It is also important to note the part that poor air quality has to play on public health, hospital admissions and the resulting burden placed on the massively stretched NHS as well as possible linkages and contributing factors with regards to vulnerable groups contracting and dying from Covid-19”.
Real-time measurement of air quality, whether indoor or outdoor and with either reference method instruments or lower-cost small-form sensors has never been so important, and this in part explains ET’s success and continued business growth.
Duncan continues “demand for air quality monitoring equipment is one important driver for our business and partly responsible for our growth, but equally so is our commitment to quality and continuous improvement. We are proud and thankful to the ever-increasing number of clients who provide us with such positive feedback and glowing testimonials, and at the end of the day, this comes down to us providing them with a superior service”.
Duncan concludes “as in all aspects of life (and business), you really do ‘get what you pay for’ and whilst we may not necessarily be the cheapest supplier and service provider out there, judging by our high levels of customer satisfaction and strong sales, many of our customers consider us to be the best, and all of us at ET are very happy with that outcome”.
