AE‑43 adapts all key features of its rack-mounted counterpart AE‑33 into a lightweight, portable chassis. It continuously measures Black Carbon at seven optical wavelengths with 1 Hz resolution, while DualSpot™ technology compensates for filter-loading effects in real time. With advanced firmware, the user can calculate biomass vs fossil fuel contributions instantly. Mobile-ready features include external power options (battery, vehicle, or solar), onboard charting, and a robust transit case.

Measurement Principle
Based on DualSpot™ optical monitoring: aerosol-laden air passes over two filter spots simultaneously at different flow rates. Real-time combination of attenuation data eliminates filter-loading bias and enables source apportionment. 1 Hz data collection at seven wavelengths spanning UV to IR (370 to 950 nm).
