How it works
The GLA331-MCEA1 Multi-Gas Carbon Emissions Analyser EP Rackmount from ABB-LGR reports simultaneous measurements of methane, carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide and water vapour within an enhanced performance rackmount chassis optimised for accuracy, precision, speed and stability. The design retains the ruggedness, wide dynamic range (more than 10 times typical ambient levels), user-friendliness, and low maintenance of the OA-ICOS framework. This instrument is ideal for applications including air quality studies, greenhouse gas monitoring, high precision soil flux studies, and scenarios that require rapid and sensitive measurements, even during field applications.
The LGR-ICOS gas analysers build on the heritage and proven track record of Los Gatos Research analysers, incorporating patented Off-Axis Integrated Cavity Output Spectroscopy (OA-ICOS) Technology. This is the latest advancement in tuneable diode laser absorption technology.
ABB’s patented OA-ICOS technology, a fourth-generation cavity-enhanced absorption technique, is advantageous over conventional and fragile cavity ringdown spectroscopy and direct absorption methods. OA-ICOS analysers are easier to operate, are more rugged. They exhibit minimal zero and span drift, and a substantially reduced requirement for frequent calibration using costly reference gases. These analysers offer superior performance and reliability at a reduced cost.
The GLA331-MCEA1 Enhanced Analyser has an internal computer which can store data almost indefinitely, which is particularly useful for applications that require prolonged unattended operation. They send real-time data to a data logger using both analog and digital (RS232) outputs. A comprehensive control and analysis software is included with this analyser, enhancing its functionality and versatility.
