ION Science Falco 2.2 Pumped Fixed PID VOC Detector

ION Science Falco 2.2 Pumped Fixed PID VOC Detector

A highly-accurate volatile organic compound detector ideal for remote monitoring.

  • Highly-accurate photoionisation detector (PID)
  • Continuous monitoring of a range of volatile organic compounds (VOCs)
  • Sample line and built-in pump enable remote sampling and use in hard-to-reach areas or confined spaces – reducing site visits and personnel exposure risks
  • Cost-effective due to low maintenance and long-lasting sensors
  • Externally-located intrinsically safe (IS) sensor facilitates quick and easy servicing without the need for a hot work permit or power removal
  • Durable construction designed to withstand harsh conditions
  • Analogue or digital outputs for flexible system integration
  • Meets international, EU, and North American standards for use in hazardous environments
  • ISO 9001:2015-certified for product quality

The Falco 2.2 Pumped Fixed PID VOC Detector uses a photoionisation detector (PID) to continuously monitor volatile organic compounds (VOCs). The PID sensor features fence electrode and moisture protection technology, ensuring accurate results and reducing false readings. Users can adjust the monitor’s response factor for measurement of a wide range of VOCs.

The Falco Pumped Fixed VOC Detector has a durable, dust-tight and water-resistant casing. This, combined with the sample line and built-in pump, makes the instrument ideal for monitoring remote, hard-to-access, confined, and/or hazardous areas. This reduces the need for manual gas checks, allowing health and safety to be maintained, and helping to prevent hazards such as gas leaks.

The externally-located sensor is easy to reach for servicing and maintenance. It is designed not to produce sparks or heat which could become ignition sources (intrinsically safe (IS)), so technicians can carry out maintenance activities without requiring “hot work” permits or safety protocols.

The Falco 2.2 Pumped Fixed PID VOC Detector is certified for use in hazardous environments by international (IECEx), European Union (ATEX), and North American and Canadian (NEC/CEC) certification systems.
