The AirPhoton IN101T Turbo Integrating Nephelometer uses forward and backward light scattering and multiwavelength technology to determine the bulk properties of aerosols, including the overall amount and size of particles.

The instrument is ideal for environmental monitoring and research. Its small, compact design and protective case allow for field deployment in a wide range of temperatures and humidities. It can take measurements at normal ambient conditions, as well as at high altitude or remote locations due to the high-speed fan which permits higher pressure intake. The IN101T’s high sensitivity means that it is also suitable for use in the laboratory.

AirPhoton integrating nephelometers are utilised by the international SPARTAN and NASA MAIA particulate air pollution initiatives, and are whitelisted for use in the European Aerosol, Clouds, and Trace Gases Research Infrastructure (ACTRIS). In SPARTAN stations, they are combined modularly with AirPhoton AeroExplorer Samplers which enables programmable sample collection in addition to real-time particle analysis provided by the nephelometer.
